This role is based in Chennai and will be part of global FX risk technology team. This technology group focus on delivering IT systems to the FX, Local Markets, Rates, and Derivatives Sales & Trading businesses. We are group of strong technology people, with the core of our development effort based in the financial hubs such as London and Singapore. In all cases, we liaise directly with the trading and sales desks to build high computing solutions for delivering state-of-the art risk technology for FX business globally. Job Description The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: Opportunity to closely interact with Traders and Quants to understand new requirements for applications across the platform, specifically focused on Risk. Contribute into large scale projects through hands-on development. Continual improvement of the software development lifecycle and quality of the product. Ad-hoc and on-desk support of the production systems (a dedicated 24h support team handles 1st line). Key Relationships: Other Development Teams across Singapore and London, QA, Deployment and Support teams. FX Derivatives Trading. Quantitative Analytics team. Knowledge/Experience: The successful candidate will: At least have 5-7 years of in depth commercial C# development experience. Experience developing and supporting mission critical applications. Experience in Middleware technologies like EMS, Solace, Kafka etc. Knowledge of FX derivatives is definitely a plus. Experience in working on a mature development in a large collaborative environment. Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements Technology Skills: Expert in C#, Multithreading, Design Patterns, OO design. Experience in SQL Exposure to Agile Methodologies like scrum, Kanban and techniques like TDD Exposure to profiling applications. Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, operating systems.
