The Year 2020 started with a whole lot of optimism. Career, business, new learnings, personal life, everything seems great. And it is time for us to get on to planning mode for a much-needed jump start.
A quick trip was in need of the hour, to celebrate and welcome a new calendar year. Well, we just needed to get out of our usual rat race. And my eyes & ears were open for suggestions or reasons to travel. And as fate would have it, a got a project to build a simple website for a homestay owned by my own cousin.
This homestay is in Cherambane, Madikeri, amidst wild forest and coffee plantation, hence the appropriate name, “The FoRest Coorg“. The website was up and running but it needed a lot of content to make it useful to the visitors. You can generate a lot of content using automated websites with a few right keywords. But you can’t find emotions in those words written unless you have experienced it. Yes! You guessed it right! Road trip! 🙂
I started with our new travel buddy, Philip. He needed a change of landscape and left with us. On the way, we picked up 3 more of our friends and set sail (metaphor). 1 car, 5 guys, 300 kms, 1 destination! The FoRest Coorg homestay! Let the road trip begin! As usual, we had our fair share of delays before starting, (read my team of friends coming in late, to begin with). We made a great time leaving city limits after the last of our team of friends.
