The Taj Mahal:
Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned 1628-58) to immortalize his wife and inseparable companion Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth in 1631, the tomb is delicately ethereal. It appears to be pearly pink at dawn while opalescent by moonlight. In the center of the mausoleum lies the remains of the Empress, as also of the Emperor. Subdued light filters through the delicate screens surrounding her cenotaph. Its building commenced about 1632 and was completed by 1648.
How to Reach Agra:
Generally people approach’s Agra after reaching New Delhi, the capital of India. Agra well connect by road, rail and air network from the capital.
