If a person wants to travel to the Oman, there are different modes of travel out of which he can choose what suits him the most. If they are citizens of any European country or industrial powers like Japan, United States, Malaysia or China then a one-month visa can be issued to them at any terminal (sea, air or land) upon arrival. Once having arrived there, initially one can reside in any of the Oman hotels, the best of the lot being the Muscat hotels. Speaking of Muscat hotels, being the capital, the city offers the finest of options. However Muscat holidays are not very frequent and popular especially for citizens residing in Western countries.
The conditions applying to obtain this visa include the fees, which is twenty OMR and a passport that has been valid since six months (at the least) till the date of arrival in the country. In addition to that, there are a number of conditions that exempt the visitor from fee payment, which says that if a person arrives by air into Dubai International Airport and later on enters Oman taking a land route, he would not have to pay the entry charges. The currencies in which the fees can be paid are the UAE dirham, the GCC currency, Euros or the US dollar.
There are some countries, whose citizens can apply for a visa only at air terminals. These include Egypt, Iran, Indian, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia. All in all, travelling to Oman is not as difficult an experience if one is a citizen of a developed country. Provided one meets all the requirements for obtaining the visa, it is a smooth sailing experience for them.
