Working Mom Time Management – How to Unclog a Drain – Go Green
[ad_1]
Did you know that there is a cheap green way to unclog a drain? I find this hard to believe so I must share it with you. Recently, I had a tough clog to unplug. I was looking for a way to unclog it economically. Liquid plumber is so expensive and there is only one use for it.
After doing a search on how to unclog a drain, I decided to try a solution which suggests using baking soda and vinegar because it is cheap. Also, they both have multiple uses. I poured in one-half cup of baking soda followed by a cup of vinegar. It worked like a charm. Once, the vinegar was poured into the water it started to foam and fizz. Miraculously, the drain opened.
Now, that I have a stock of baking soda I rediscovered some of its invaluable uses. It is great to buy a product which has multiple uses and is inexpensive. Can you tell that I am always thinking about the bottomline?
For instance, did you know that baking soda is a laundry detergent booster like Oxi-Clean without the expense. What is a booster? It makes your clothes cleaner and brighter by intensifying the cleaning agents of the detergent. Another great use I found, is oven cleaner. Baking soda cuts grease without scratching the surface.
Here are some other uses:
- laundry detergent booster
- natural whitener for teeth
- deodorizer
- oven cleaner (cuts grease without damaging the surface)
Moreover, vinegar combines with water to work as a disinfectant. The recipe is 3 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Don’t forget this is the same vinegar you can mix oil to make salad dressing.
If you are looking for ways to save money, then make baking soda and vinegar staples in your household. By using them products you going green and pulling in your pursestraps.
Baking soda and vinegar are miracle househould staples. I now keep a large container of each under my sink at all times. It cost me about $2 to unclog my drain and even less to clean the stove.
